Quickstart

One cURL away from your first request

Sign up, copy your credentials from the dashboard, and send your first request through gw.datorus.io:8001. The same command works in Python, Node, and any HTTP client that supports proxies.

CURL
curl -x http://<your_credentials>@gw.datorus.io:8001 \
     -L https://example.com/your-target-url

Replace `<your_credentials>` with the `username:password` shown on /dashboard/credentials after signing in.

FAQ

Questions teams ask before signing up

What is a residential proxy?
[draft] A residential proxy routes your request through real residential IP addresses — instead of a data-centre IP — so that public websites see traffic that looks like an ordinary visitor. Datorus sources capacity from carriers and suppliers that meet our Ethical Sourcing requirements; we do not deploy capacity tied to uninformed end users.
How is billing done?
[draft] Pay-as-you-go, billed per GB of bandwidth used. No subscription, no auto-renewal. Top up in $10 / $50 / $200 / $700 increments — the effective per-GB rate drops as the top-up tier increases. You can request a refund of any unused balance within 14 days of the top-up.
Do you support my use case?
[draft] Datorus is built for public-web data work — price monitoring, SERP research, public market intelligence, and openly published web data collection. Use that does not touch authenticated content, personal data, or operator-gated material is in scope. The Acceptable Use Policy details the boundaries.
How fast can I start?
[draft] Sign up with email or SSO, copy your credentials from the dashboard, and send your first request in under five minutes. There is no waiting period and no manual approval step for the free trial.
What's the trial?
[draft] 500 MB of bandwidth on the same residential pool we ship to paying customers. No expiry, no credit card required at signup. Upgrade by topping up once you've validated the use case — your trial bandwidth stays usable in parallel.
Is there an SLA?
[draft] We publish operational status at status.datorus.com and target a high-availability service. A contractual SLA is available on the Volume $700 tier and on Enterprise plans; smaller tiers run on a best-effort posture with the same underlying infrastructure.
How do I get support?
[draft] Email support@datorus.com — we reply within one business day on Starter / Growth / Scale tiers and faster on Volume / Enterprise. Documentation and a Quickstart cookbook are linked from the footer once they ship.
