Overview
Datorus is a public-web data infrastructure service. This Privacy Policy applies to the information we receive in the course of providing that service, including account information, billing information, and operational telemetry necessary to operate the network.
Information we collect
We collect account information you provide during sign-up, payment information processed by our payment partner, and operational telemetry such as request counts and bandwidth measurements that are required to bill the service and to maintain network health.
How we use information
We use the information described above to provide the service, to communicate with customers about their account, to bill for usage, to maintain the security and reliability of the network, and to comply with applicable legal obligations.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We share information with the third-party processors described below, who act on our behalf under data-processing agreements, and otherwise only when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Datorus, our customers, or the public.
Third-party processors
To operate the service we rely on a defined set of third-party processors, each engaged for a specific purpose: Stripe (payment processing and billing); Resend (transactional email delivery); Vercel (web application hosting and privacy-respecting traffic analytics); Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads (website and conversion analytics, loaded only after you accept analytics cookies); Google Search Console (GSC) (organic search performance, which provides us aggregate query data rather than personal data); Cloudflare Turnstile (bot and abuse protection on sign-up and sign-in); and our upstream network and bandwidth suppliers (carrier and data-centre connectivity that carries proxied traffic). Each processor receives only the data necessary for its function.
Retention
We retain different categories of data for different periods. Account records are kept for the life of your account and for up to 6 months after closure. Billing, invoice, and tax records are kept for 7 years to satisfy accounting and tax obligations. Operational telemetry used to bill and monitor the service (such as per-request usage events) is kept for 13 months, and raw access logs for 90 days. When a retention period ends, records are deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export (receive a portable copy of), or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights — including data export or deletion — contact our privacy team using the address below, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and communicated through customer channels.
